All our patients are treated by Dr. Matta himself, and most patients are treated in our office. It starts with:
- Taking history
- Physical examination
- We perform an ultrasound to evaluate the size of the vein and the blood reflux, to see if the blood is going in the wrong direction and to be sure there are no blood clots in the deep vein.
- EndoVenous Laser Ablation - will treat the large veins by inserting a laser wire through a small incision in the leg and obliterate it- it is done in the office under local anesthesia- the leg will be wrapped in bandages for 3 days and you go back to work the next day.
- Sclerotherapy - is done by injecting hypertonic solution with minimal discomfort. You will be wearing support hose for 48 hours and this treatment will require multiple sessions depends on how many veins you have.
-
Laser treatment - for very small spider veins.
